Maths and Non verbal reasoning

Course Introduction

Maths/Numerical Thinking

The Maths component of the 11+ exam is an essential part of the evaluation procedure. These challenging exams test a variety of Mathematical ideas as well as problem-solving abilities in a student. The 11+ Mathematics curriculum aligns with the National Curriculum, therefore it's important to make sure your child is familiar with the basics including addition, multiplication, subtraction, and division; fractions; decimals; time; area and perimeter; prime numbers and prime factors; averages; distance, speed, and time; graphs and charts; calculating angles; reflection and rotation; percentages; simple ratio and probability; sequences and numerical patterns.

Non-Verbal Reasoning

The 11 Plus Non-Verbal Reasoning Syllabus covers reasoning with abstract shapes. The learner is faced with a variety of issues related to shapes in this section, including patterns, codes, analogies, differences, orientations, and many more.

How we run our classes

NERRG Global Academy has one of the best online teaching platform for virtual learning. This is because Our Video Classes will provide you with “Real Classroom Experience” that allow you to engage with your teachers. We do have all types of interactive classroom options in the platform — such as hand raising, virtual ticks, file sharing, an interactive whiteboard, and text chat — make the platform appropriate for any class size.

Our evening virtual classes run all the way through the school year including half-terms and bank holidays. Teachers use the platform to communicate live with students online for 2 hours- lesson a week and that is 8 hours a month. Weekly lessons involve targeting specific topics and learning how to resolve problems surrounding those subject areas.

There are no entry requirements for the course and we accept enrolments anytime during the school year, as we go through the full syllabus multiple times a year. This approach, makes sure that you are well prepared for any topic or question that comes your way. NERRG Global Academy encourages a greater appreciation for the learning process by placing it in a more understandable context. This leads to improvements in self-discipline, time-management, focus, goal orientation and motivation

Our subject-specialists are professional, energetic and up-to-date with the current demands of a changing curriculum and the various Examination Boards and they help students improve their subject based skills, time management and exam preparation techniques. They also provide productive lessons in a supportive and friendly environment and an uplifting attitude that encourages remarkable results. For those not so keen on participating in a group setting, we do offer one-to one sessions. They can be scheduled at a time most convenient to you and your tutor.

Our classes aim to resolve areas of confusion and bring your child up to a comfortable level which allows them to achieve vital academic goals. We do this by providing relevant materials to improve our student’s abilities effectively. They are made available to students after every lesson, including all notes produced in class. Every week, students receive homework which includes exam questions, and are expected to work within a topic studied in class to further support their online schooling. By incorporating timed exercises and mock exam questions, we help the students’ decrease the time it takes them to answer questions, which means that he will experience less stress and pressure when exam time comes. Our tutors keep track of all students' progress and make sure everyone is at the level they should be. We also help build confidence, make good progress, and cope better with exams while enjoying learning. Students will be able also to see and interact with their tutor in real time and in the comfort of your own home.

The passing score for the exam varies between exam boards, institutions, and years. The 11 Plus often has a pass rate of over 80%. Students who pass their 11 plus exams are then admitted to the grammar or private schools they applied for.

If a child attends a local government primary school, they can take the 11 Plus exam in one of their classes. If not, they might have to visit a test location at a nearby grammar school. Parents or caregivers must enroll their children in the exam by registering them, usually online. There is normally a deadline for registering, and an online form must be submitted. The details of the time limit for each grammar school are available on their websites.

In order to register students for the 11 Plus, grammar schools normally begin accepting registration applications in April or May and end them in either June or July. However, we recommend parents to double-check on the school's website or in person.

The test is then conducted in the first two weeks of September of the same year for the majority of grammar schools. Again, depending on the school, this date may differ, therefore it is highly recommended that you double verify. Typically, results are announced in the middle of October, and school selections are verified on March 1st of the following year.

Great news! There are no entry requirements or age restrictions for the course. All you need is access to a computer or tablet and a good internet connection. Moreover, our course duration is 9 months, but we accept enrolments anytime throughout the year.

Since we go over the entire syllabus several times a year, there are no prerequisites for the course, and enrollment is accepted at any time during the academic year. This strategy ensures that you are ready for every subject or question that may be thrown at you. By putting the learning process in a more intelligible context, NERRG Global Academy promotes a stronger respect for the educational process. As a result, self-control, time management, concentration, goal orientation, and drive is improved.

Our subject experts assist students in developing their subject-based skills, self-discipline, and exam preparation strategies. They are qualified, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable about the current requirements of changing curricula and examination boards. Additionally, they deliver beneficial teachings in a welcoming environment with a positive outlook that promotes amazing outcomes. We do provide one-on-one sessions for those who are less interested in engaging in a group context. They can be scheduled for whenever you and your tutor find it most convenient.

Our sessions are designed to clear up any areas of doubt and raise your child's comfort level so they can accomplish important academic objectives. In order to efficiently increase our students' talents, we achieve this through offering pertinent content. After each lesson, they are made available to the students, along with any notes created in class. Students are asked to do homework every week that contains exam questions on a subject covered in class to support their online education.

We assist the students in shortening the time it takes them to respond to questions by adding timed exercises and mock exam questions. As a result, the student will feel less pressure and tension when it is time for the exam. Every student's progress is monitored by our tutors, who ensure sure everyone is performing at the appropriate level. We also encourage self-assurance, forward movement, and improved exam performance while learning is fun. Additionally, students will be able to communicate with their tutor in real time while remaining comfortable in their own homes.
